With the development of a cotton-textile industry, Rumania has increased raw - cotton imports and is encouraging domestic cotton produc tion, according to a report received from American Consul Sheldon T. Mills at Bucharest. The weaving mills now consume approximately bales of 478 pounds of raw cotton a year and, when Operating at full capacity, Supply 80 percent of the domestic cotton-cloth consumption.
