Each photocopiable activity sheet explains the underlying scientific ideas simply and clearly to the parent or peer helper and the activities need little equipment other than that already available in most homes and schools. The activities are particularly suitable for children aged five to seven years, especially when engaged in parental involvement projects linking home and school, but they can also be used with children up to the age of 11 and with older children with difficulties with science.
