Gabriela Mistral was a well-known Chilean poet, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1945. She was also a teacher, and had an important role in the educational system of Chile. It is published to celebrate the relationship between Aoteaora New Zealand and Chile and to share Mistral's work with a new audience.
