Description - 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art by QAGOMA
Established in 1993, the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) is the Queensland Art Gallery's flagship international contemporary art event. It is the only major series of exhibitions in the world to focus exclusively on the contemporary art of Asia, the Pacific and Australia. APT7 featured major new and recent works by more than 100 artists, including collaborations and collectives, from across Asia, the Pacific and Australia. Special focuses offered rare insights into new cultural production in the Middle East, Central Asia and the Pacific, providing Australian audiences with access to art and ideas from some of the most dynamic regions in the world today. This substantial publication marks 20 years of the APT.
