The two smaller two kangaroos use their wits to escape the monster by promising a bigger, tastier meal on its way (their bigger brother!), quite politely saying things such as: 'Mr Bunyip, I am quite small. Wait till my bigger brother comes, He is both fat and tall.' Finally the bunyip gets his comeuppance and the kangaroos all graze happily ever after.
