The papers in this volume originated from the Children with Language Difficulties: Implications in an Educational Setting conference held on 23 April 1988 at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. The papers aim to provide useful information on recent developments and be a source of ideas for teachers and speech therapists who are working in a variety of educational settings with children of different ages and degrees of language handicap.
