This PAJ Publications title joins "Performance Ideas," a series that features interviews and short essay collections that crossover performance, visual arts, dance, sound, media. The series should appeal to the contemporary visual arts and performance audience internationally. The books fill a unique multi-disciplinary niche that PAJ is known for in other volumes and its widely respected journal, PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art. In addition to new interviews about Monk's most recent work, the expanded edition contains an 8-page color insert.

Meredith Monk was recently awarded the 2020 John Cage Award from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts.
