The internet enables a rapid and beneficial exchange of ideas. As a result of all these, tatting has developed and gained immensely. It is popular universally and has taken on an exciting contemporary style involving colours, threads and technique. This augurs well for the 21st century.

The patterns in this book continue on from Beads in Tatting, the author's first book and combine traditional and contemporary styles and, of course, beads. Some techniques are common to a number of the projects. There are also references to the techniques of needle and hook tatting.
