Edward Thomas was a British poet, essayist and novelist who was killed in action in France, April 1917. Although commonly known as a war poet there is a significant rediscovery of Thomas as a nature writer, and indeed this area of his work was by far the most extensive. This miscellany has juxtaposed his poetry with his prose, and in doing so, has created a beautiful and exhilarating collection of some of his finest writing. The editor, Dr Anna Stenning is a writer and lecturer living in Ledbury, Herefordshire, where she enjoys walking, wildlife, and discovering new places.
