And that's why she's come to the conclusion that romance is overrated and it's time for her to swear off dating altogether. To prove how serious she is, she's even told her roommate to cease all matchmaking efforts. No more men for her, thank you. Meg doesn't need to be in a relationship in order to feel fulfilled. She's a librarian, after all, and she believes that a good book and a cozy blanket can rival the company of a man any day. She is perfectly happy to remain single for the rest of her life.
But when her ex-boyfriend gets engaged to a girl she's never met and invites Meg to the wedding, she has to put her plan on hold. She's not about to go to the wedding alone, so obviously she needs a date. The problem is she's only got two-and-a-half months to find someone. If she doesn't, she'll be stuck going with her parents-and that's not happening.
Thank goodness her roommate has one more guy in mind, and he's perfect. Supposedly. At this point, Meg's standards couldn't get much lower. As long as he doesn't fraternize with amphibians or treat her like one of his gym buddies, he might just be her perfect match!
