American college student Holly is offered a mysterious inheritance that requires her to meet with attorneys in London. There she is thrust back in time, where she finds herself in the middle of a war against an evil dictator.

As she begins to discover that she has new powers, she meets a sea beast who is whipping a fleet of the dictator's battleships out of the sea and beating them back. Holly uses her new-found powers to fight off swarms of warplanes, and she and the sea beast work together to avert disaster.

In disguise, she uses her powers to save Parliament from spies, participates in a royal banquet and ball, and encounters an intruder who threatens to reveal a deep dark secret the queen has kept hidden for years!
