Ciò medesimo ho osservato rispetto al Latini; ed io a Burnetto ho preferito Brunetto, si per seguir l'uso, e si massimamente perchè questo è regolare, n'è procedente, siccome l'al t'ro, da storpiatura Infatti dal nome proprio Bru no, che oggi dicesi anche Brunone nacque di rittamente Dil diminutivo Brunetto, che talora si cangiò in Burnetto; come, per addurne esempio, da stromento si fece stormento con leggiera tra sposizione di lettere.
