Besides 23 colour profiles, the book offers more than 500 photos, many of great interest, rare and unpublished, coming from private archives, that show all the aircraft operated. The book has been prepared by Amos Dor, a well known Israeli author, and comes after years of researches. AUTHOR: Amos Dor was born in 1958 in Tel-Aviv, Israel. His father served in the IAF between 1950-1954 and later, for many years, as a civilian in the IAF and the Israel Aircraft Industries, in various positions. No wonder that Amos "breathed" IAF and it's legends - which are real - since his cradle days, which is about when he started to build plastic models. Later on he graduated from the IAF technical school and served as an "A-4 Skyhawk" mechanic between 1977- 1980 in the "Flying Wing" Squadron. He then continued as a reservist in the same squadron until 1982, when he "converted" to the F-16. In 1988 he was a founder member of the IPMS Israel and the editor of the club magazine "Kne-Mida". He also established and maintains the "IAF Enthusiasts" website www.iafe.net. He is the author of a series of books on the history and heritage of the IAF. His articles, IAF aircraft profiles artwork and photos are published regularly in professional aviation magazines around the world. Today he lives in Milan, Italy, with his wife and children. 500 illustrations
