Description - Lifeline - Through the Dark Waters by James Allison

Lifeline is a story that needs to be told because it could happen to ANYONE. It continues the experiences of homelessness that the author began in his previous book Dark Waters. In 2009 the author bought three Composition notebooks and began documenting his experiences in verse. He wrote in his truck, at homeless shelters, and at the Public Library. This book tells his story in poetry and prose, giving the reader a bird's eye view of what he went through during his two year ordeal. Lifeline is not always an easy read, but it promises to keep the reader's attention and possibly prick an emotion or two. The journey began in April 2009 and continued until the December snows of 2010. This book describes the emotional roller-coaster the author was on during those two years and how he finally was rescued - as some would say - in the nick of time.
