Description - Psalms of Love by Dr Tapan Kumar Pradhan

Antony Theodore's Psalms of Love contains two hundred of his select poems based on the holy Christian teachings contained in the Book of Psalms. The poems also make several references to Vedas, Upanishad, Gita, Quran and other ancient scriptures of world religions. The poems are arranged in eight interwoven parts covering Songs of the Wild, Song of the Mystic, Laments of Heart, Paeans of Love, Soul's Songs, Prayer Talks, Songs of Silence and Hymns of God. The topics range from conjugal love to the secrets of dreams, meditation and telepathy. Each poem has parallel references to corresponding verses in Bible, Quran, Vedas and other scriptures of world religions.

The poems provide a penetrative new interpretation of the universal truths underlying Christ's sermons and the songs of David and Solomon. It shows that the spiritual messages contained in the Holy Gospel are essentially the same as those expounded in scriptures of all world religions. The One Truth has been expressed differently through Veda, Bible, Gita and Quran. This book has been edited by the poet and translator Dr Tapan Kumar Pradhan, who has also written its scholarly introduction besides providing detailed commentaries on the poems. Dr Tapan has also brought to light amazing similarities between the verses of the Book of Psalms and the mantras of ancient Indian scripture Sama Veda.

The book makes a startling revelation about Antony Theodore's extraordinary relationship with the mystic Kashmir poet scholar Hemangi Sharma. Dr Tapan has hinted at a definite past life relationship with Hemangi Sharma / Antony Theodore.
