Psychology in Action is an introductory psychology text for schools at year 10, which may also be useful for vocational courses. It's objective is to stimulate student interest in some of the occupational fields of psychology. With the popularity of psychology at VCE many teachers have requested resources to assist them in the year 10 courses they run as preparation for senior study. This book is a product of that demand. The content has been drawn from trials of the material in schools that have shown Sport, Clinical and Forensic Psychology are of greatest interest to students. An introductory chapter on psychological research methods is also included. The book has been written on the assumption that it will be suitable for a semester unit of 3 x 50 minute lessons per week, but it can easily be adapted.
