He discusses the background of the Hinkle translation and tells how, nearly forty years later, Jung drastically revised his 1912 work. The revision, published as Symbole der Wandlung (1952), was translated by R.F.C. Hull as Symbols of Transformation in the Collected Works of C.G. Jung, Volume 5, 1956.
