Resonant Leadership Resonant leadership (RL) is a form of emotional leadership style focused on emotional intelligence (EI) and research has shown that emotionally intelligent leaders remain successful and effective in the midst of difficulties through the emotional components of knowledge, hope and compassion that are characteristics of RLL (Boyatzis & McKee, 2005). These leaders rely on resonance that includes the use of strong outcomes to inspire followers in any circumstance to obtain the best result and always strive to higher objectives (Goleman et al., 2002a; Squires et al., 2010).
