Shelby Bloom is no sporting superstar whizz kid or social butterfly. But she is funny - at least she thinks she is - so she decides she'll be the funny girl the one who wins friends by keeping them in stitches.
The talent show is coming up and Shelby knows how she can win - with her side-splitting comedy of course. But mean-girl Brooke finds Shelby's notes and ruins the fun by telling her jokes to everyone at school. Shelby must rush to plan a new routine - and maybe a dirty trick of her own. Will she get big laughs or will she flop?
