Description - Suikoden III: Successor of Fate: v. 7 by Aki Shimizu
Just when the Grasslands troops have been losing hope and despair because they declared cease fire with the Iron-heads, Hugo returns with the crest of the "Flame Champion." Meanwhile, Chris returns from the Grasslands. She explains her quest and shows her water crest on her hand. Preparing her armor, she announces that the Zexen Federation has declared war against Harmonia. Back in the Harmonia base camp, Sasarai is visited by three messengers, announcing that he has been relieved of his position under the orders of Lord Hicsac. Sasarai realizes that Albert has deceived him. Dios has also been captured. At this point, Luc is now the general. Sasarai confronts Luc, who is his twin brother. Luc begins to tell the story of why they were born, their fate...Lord Hicsac was the true heir to one of the True Runes. However, Hicsac wanted all 27, and he found a way to pass on the carrier-by replicating himself. The replications (clones?) were Luc and Sasarai-bearing the True Runes within their nucleus and have appearances like of humans. The twins were merely containers for the runes.
Explaining all this, Luc sucks out the True Rune within Sasarai out of his body, discarding his body afterwards. Dios and his men discover Sasarai, and escape the camp. Meanwhile, the Grasslands troops go under attack. It's a tough battle, but Hugo uses his Rune power. The battle seems over, and Caesar Silverberg declares that he will be Hugo's battle commander.
