Teenage siblings have it hard enough but when one of them is unacceptably 'different' in the eyes of the world those conflicts seem insurmountable. The siblings find allies in Matt Bearclaw, a teen of the Puyallup Tribe, Forest Ranger Sally Card, and USAF Pararescue Staff Sergeant Camilla Sanchez. Will this unlikely band be able to reach the safety of a military base in the interior of the former United States? Will they be able to out-wit or out-run traitorous humans, Cyborgs, Harvesters, and alien attack craft?
