Sage is searching for her lost brother - the only other family member to survive when the dragons attacked their village ten years ago - and will do whatever it takes to see them reunited. However a chance encounter with an injured dragon changes her destiny, and the outcome of the decade-long war.

Against her will, Sage is bonded with the dragon Sahva, and learns of the dragon's side of the conflict. Together, now also bonded by loss, they choose to work together to end the war.
