The candour with which the former edition of this work was re ceiyjed, is at leafi tome argument in favour of its utility, as alfo confolation to its author; andtends to alleviate an aflifiing difpenfatinn of Divine Providence and render tolerable an uninterrupted confinement a} his room, which has now continued upwards of eighteen years.
