The Grey Dawn is the third book which begins shortly after The Grey Girl. Finding refuge, Gudrid and Gisli try to find peace, but as they try to build their lives the Viking spirit intervenes. Through invasions and expeditions, the lives of the brother and sister are intertwined as they struggle to survive.
